1. Sick day! You're down with the flu or some injury, you're bedridden or at the hospital. Aren't you lucky that that special someone came to visit you?

3. Cheer up! One or both of you is feeling down and it's time to get out of that slump by either finding a way to distract yourself or talking it out with the other person.
4. Love confession! Your stomach is doing flip flops and your heart is racing, but you've read all the signs right, and it's time to let that other person know you feel the same way.
5. Goodbye for now! One of you is going away for some reason (It can be as simple or angsty as you want it to be) and you may be back or you may not, but you want to spend the time you've got left where you are with someone special.
6. Need a friend! You just want to hang out with the guys/girls and have a little fun.
7. I'm sorry! You had a fight with someone and now it's time to kiss and make up. . . or at least make up.
8. Been so long! You're back after a long trip somewhere and now it's time to meet up with someone you've missed a lot and make up for lost time!
9. I'll defend you until the end! You're going to fight for that person and you're going to let them know it or show them, whichever comes first.

1. INJURY. You've been injured. Broken bones or bleeding out or maybe just a tiny little papercut. The choice is yours.
2. SICKNESS. You're sick and laid up in bed, at home or in a hospital. The severity is up to you.
3. FEAR/ANXIETY. Something is happening and you're scared beyond belief.
4. LOSS OF SENSES. Sight, touch, taste, hearing, smell, etc. You've lost some important sense or ability and now you're left to deal with it.
5. DESPAIR. Nothing is good or right anymore and you can't shake the depression. Maybe that friend of yours can help though...
6. BREAKUP. You've been dumped. You need someone to comfort you, possibly by the one who dumped you.
7. MAKE UP. Fight or break up, it's time to makeup.
8. RESCUED. You've just been held captived and/or tortured for however long and finally, someone has come to the rescue.
9. BAD ROMANCE. Fight, cheated on, abused, whatever the case is, someone else can clearly seeyou need comfort from someone who isn't your terrible lover tonight.
10. LOSS. You've experience a loss of some kind and need help getting through it.

3. ELEVATORSTUCK
You are now being forced to endure the other person's presence. It doesn't have to be an elevator. You could be new neighbours, or locked in lockers together, or mysteriously tied together. idk. GO FOR IT.

Bro's blood is still all over him. There's still gore all over the back seat, he's got a sword on his lap he never wanted and no matter how cool he's trying to play it, he did just kill his zombiefied older brother.

This isn't how he wanted to meet everyone in person, sitting with his hands still practically glued to the wheel, staring straight ahead, trying to pass it off as just zoning out. All he's doing is trying not to completely lose it. He is cool and infallible. Even Cal's comforting presence on his shoulder is doing nothing to stop the terror.

If he keeps telling himself that then it's got to be true.]

[ She'd gone looking out for life - old habits now useful, scavenging around the island which is rapidly becoming searching through the very urban wasteland for things of use - and found herself approaching the car. She does find life at least, if in the form of someone she'd realized was missing but didn't dare ask about, not after seeing Dave's face and hearing his explanation, had the realization click into focus that zombies of loved ones isn't a fear of the future but already here. The windows are half-down which means the scent is in the air, or maybe she just thinks it is, she acknowledges, feeling like it's choking her a little with every breath. And it's almost funny, ironic, the red red red, a color she'd always associated with the Striders thanks to Dave and now - it's like a mocking parody of every childhood illusion.

She taps on the glass of the window he's next to. ]

[ It's something he supposes he must have known was coming. There was always a chance, always a possibility that one of them would die. He knew, he knew, he knew, but he didn't expect to hear the guttural sounds from the back seat or feel his brother's big hands around his throat, hear Dave scream Jesus Christ, Bro stop! before he had to act and act fast.

They probably couldn't say him. The blood didn't spray. It oozed. His heart wasn't beating. Bro'd died in the back seat somewhere between towns. He licks his lips which are cracked and bleeding because he's fucking starved and all of their supplies had been spent on keeping the dying man in the back seat going.

The knock startles him. It's not much, just a sudden flexing of his hands on the wheel and the sharp snap of his gaze from somewhere far beyond the white picket fence in front of him to there here and now, pupils blown wide behind the thin veil of his shades. ]

[ She leans forward, rests both of her arms on the top of the glass and ducks her head so that it's almost resting on them; a gesture made as though they aren't both upwards of shell-shocked and the car isn't a gory mess. ]

I think you should come inside.

[ Quietly. ]

[ The answer comes out short and hard. ]

No, I'm fine out here.

[ She pauses, not about to fight him on this. ]

I'm really sorry about your bro. You were right about the game. [ She breathes out slowly, low, before going on carefully. ] Do you want to talk about it...?

[ God damnit. ] I'm aware of how irrational this is. I just want to sit in here, Harley.

[ It's not irrational is what she thinks first, or maybe it is but he's grieving and no one's ever rational when they lose someone. But sitting in there does not seem like a good idea to her, not with the blood and the remains and - god, it wouldn't be good for anyone. ]

Even if you don't go inside, you could at least sit out here for a while. The grass is pretty nice and soft out here, you know.

[ She doesn't actually know that it is, but there is no way it isn't better than the inside of that car. ]

[ He swallows hard, shakes his head slowly from side to side. ]

[ That much is at least a relief, and if the door's unlocked she'll go ahead and pull away to open it for him. ]
