1. Sick day! You're down with the flu or some injury, you're bedridden or at the hospital. Aren't you lucky that that special someone came to visit you?
2. Date night! You've made special plans to show that someone just how much you love them and nothing can go wrong tonight.
3. Cheer up! One or both of you is feeling down and it's time to get out of that slump by either finding a way to distract yourself or talking it out with the other person.
4. Love confession! Your stomach is doing flip flops and your heart is racing, but you've read all the signs right, and it's time to let that other person know you feel the same way.
5. Goodbye for now! One of you is going away for some reason (It can be as simple or angsty as you want it to be) and you may be back or you may not, but you want to spend the time you've got left where you are with someone special.
6. Need a friend! You just want to hang out with the guys/girls and have a little fun.
7. I'm sorry! You had a fight with someone and now it's time to kiss and make up. . . or at least make up.
8. Been so long! You're back after a long trip somewhere and now it's time to meet up with someone you've missed a lot and make up for lost time!
9. I'll defend you until the end! You're going to fight for that person and you're going to let them know it or show them, whichever comes first.

2. hurt & comfort

1. INJURY. You've been injured. Broken bones or bleeding out or maybe just a tiny little papercut. The choice is yours.
2. SICKNESS. You're sick and laid up in bed, at home or in a hospital. The severity is up to you.
3. FEAR/ANXIETY. Something is happening and you're scared beyond belief.
4. LOSS OF SENSES. Sight, touch, taste, hearing, smell, etc. You've lost some important sense or ability and now you're left to deal with it.
5. DESPAIR. Nothing is good or right anymore and you can't shake the depression. Maybe that friend of yours can help though...
6. BREAKUP. You've been dumped. You need someone to comfort you, possibly by the one who dumped you.
7. MAKE UP. Fight or break up, it's time to makeup.
8. RESCUED. You've just been held captived and/or tortured for however long and finally, someone has come to the rescue.
9. BAD ROMANCE. Fight, cheated on, abused, whatever the case is, someone else can clearly seeyou need comfort from someone who isn't your terrible lover tonight.
10. LOSS. You've experience a loss of some kind and need help getting through it.

3. ELEVATORSTUCK
You are now being forced to endure the other person's presence. It doesn't have to be an elevator. You could be new neighbours, or locked in lockers together, or mysteriously tied together. idk. GO FOR IT.

4. Random!
You choose or make up your own scene to play out.

[ God damnit. ] I'm aware of how irrational this is. I just want to sit in here, Harley.

[ It's not irrational is what she thinks first, or maybe it is but he's grieving and no one's ever rational when they lose someone. But sitting in there does not seem like a good idea to her, not with the blood and the remains and - god, it wouldn't be good for anyone. ]

Even if you don't go inside, you could at least sit out here for a while. The grass is pretty nice and soft out here, you know.

[ She doesn't actually know that it is, but there is no way it isn't better than the inside of that car. ]

[ He swallows hard, shakes his head slowly from side to side. ]

Fine.

[ That much is at least a relief, and if the door's unlocked she'll go ahead and pull away to open it for him. ]

[ He steps outside.

His legs almost falter under him. He slams his hand against the top of the roof and braces himself. ]

[ THAT - startles her for sure, and she'd just been turning away to scope out actual grassy patches when he does that. She turns back quickly at the sound, relaxes fractionally. There's a lot more blood, now that she's really looking, and she with the barest hesitation reaches out to take his free hand if he'll let her. ]

[ He takes her hand. Dirk's never been an easy man to read, but this is fucking different. Someone gutted his world and left it bleeding and gaping, something irreplacable had been lost due to his carelessness.

He takes a deep breath. Now that he's outside, the fresh air makes it worse. ]

[ She tugs gently - and really, it's not like he couldn't stop her if he were so inclined - finding a bit of earth a few feet off that's still grassy and dewy. She'll settle herself down without letting go of his hand if she can help it, and without either much regard for her dress or how wet it'll get. ]

[ Eyes straight ahead on the car. The hunk of junk that had taken him miles and miles to get here. He's in shock. This is shock. Everything has ground to an earsplitting halt and he's still waiting to feel Bro's boot on his back, shoving him over, chiding him for being so damn sentimental. It was just a joke, get over it!

It's not going to come. ]

[ She thinks that she couldn't imagine being in his shoes, and while it's true it's maybe not completely, because even if she doesn't remember the loss of their grandpa like Jake does, she remembers being unsettled by the jungle for a very very long time. She doesn't want to pry if he doesn't want to talk about it, so she squeezes his hand and casts about for something else to say. But then, what is there really? Talking about how everyone got there safe is stupid when it's not true, not everyone, and they have to think about what to do next but that can wait, and anything else seems unimportant, not noteworthy, and she can't help but think fleetingly that he'd probably prefer to have Jake or Roxy or Jane here instead.

What she does is gently let go of his hand and then reach both arms around him. ]

[ He's not sure he could ever explain what Bro meant to him.

How even if the man cast a large shadow that was always where he had felt the most safe. How when they were small and had no where to sleep but the park benches, Bro managed to keep them feeling safe. How even when they were poor and had nothing but the clothes on the back they were somehow, somehow, always happy because they were the three fucking musketeers and nothing could stop them.

Dirk tenses. Her arms wrap around him and it takes all he has not to throw her. One arm goes around her and he sighs, a deep tired breath, and that's that. There won't be any tears today. ]
