BUT I THINK THAT dirk was probably kind of awful to dave because he wanted him to be prepared when people are cruel and wanted him to be strong. this being dirk, every horrible thing he ever did makes perfect sense in his mind and probably imparted a KIND OF DISTORTED lesson. a world without sburb means that dirk's just kind of. a freak. i think. also shady as all fuck
