Since we've gotten a bunnch of new people it might be more prudent to make a new post and move everything on over here.

Dirk did actually attend a public school up until the sixth grade. His grades were constantly poor, due to the fact that the work simply didn't interest him and he would just literally space out for the entirety of the day, leading his teachers to believe that there must be something off with him. They also thought his brother must be doing his homework for him, given the fact that the answers were above and beyond what a kid his age should know. Which. Bro probably thoroughly debunked. Teachers were also concerned about his anti-social behaviour, he ended up going through most of his time there without making any friends. Any friends he did make seemed to stay just long enough to try to find something to get his goat and turned on him quick enough when it suited him.
It hurt him more than he let on and he spend a lot of his childhood with Lil Cal as his only friend and confidant. Most of his conversations were probably overheard by Bro.
He once went to the science fair with a fully functioning robot which terrorized everyone else as revenge.
Eventually he was expelled in the sixth grade after hacking into the school and preforming a hostile takeover of all of the equipment and computer mainframe. To this day no one is entirely sure how he managed it and he's lucky he didn't end up in a juvenile detention center for trying it.
The following years have been spent doing independent learning.
DIRK & CAL.
Cal was his best friend growing up. Probably only friend before he met everyone else / Dave learned how to talk. He takes that puppet damn near everywhere with him and takes astoundingly good care of him.
DIRK & FAMILY
Bro and Dave are pretty much the few people he talks to in person - largely by choice, but also because he's just a little weird and can be kind of offputting with the way he speaks and general air about him. So, because of this, they're pretty damn important to him even if irony and that air of coolness keeps any of them from showing it.
Bro is essentially Dirk's big brother / dad figure and the person he trusts the most. While he's more of a father than he ever had, the fact that he still remembers bits and pieces of their situation before keeps him from thinking of Bro as father. He's just way better than one could ever be. When he was smaller he probably went to him for his own brand of comfort - just like, sitting outside his door if he got scared at night or sleeping next to the futon, getting comfort from a distance because he wasn't sure if he was wanted or not. I imagine when he first started to deal with the whole sexuality thing there was an extremely casual coming out done in the fashion of just yelling it from his room. They're terrifyingly alike.
Dave's also his bro. He's pretty fucking protective of his little bro, even if he probably shows it in the way of shoving him around and beating him up. He knows Dave has it rough and tries to toughen him up the only way he knows how, other than trying to find out who is harassing him so he can make their online lives a living fucking hell.
AR, Squarewave and Sawtooth are also his family and he insists they be referred to as such.
DIRK & FRIENDS.
Jake is his best friend / huge honking crush. Jake is pretty much his polar opposite in every way, shape and form - where he's cynical and sarcastic, Jake is boundlessly optimistic and enthusiastic. If we're going to be on the level here, nothing scares him more than the idea of rejection. Which is why he's put it off so long and has such a convoluted plan of action, which would be abandoned the moment someone else finally came forward and said something.
Other than Jake, Roxy is pretty much his best friend ever. There's still a little awkward because he can't reciprocate her feelings, but he's got the maddest platonic love for her. He'll always be there for her and tries to make her see that. Along with that, he also nags her a little about her drinking and is there to talk her down from any depression spirals.
Jane is his other best friend. He sort of sees her as someone to protect, given her rather sheltered upbringing in comparison to say - his or Jake's. She appreciates his humor and tries to understand it when he explains things unlike the others. And he appreciates her for it! He sends her shitty books he made "improvements" on.
Jade he knows the best out of all of the beta kids. Mostly because he knows Jake best. He sent her a robot pony and teaches her how about robots. There was an illfated crush on her side which he either remained oblivious to or tried to gently let her down.
John and Rose he knows mostly through Dave and by virtue of their siblings complaining about them.
DIRK & FIGHTING.
Shit be scary. He's pretty lethal.
DIRK & SPACING OUT.
It's a thing he does if he's thinking too hard about something. He's constantly multitasking and the minute his concentration breaks and he's focusing on the minor details of something he's gone. He's pretty much always done it and it's something that tends to happen at random if he's got a problem on his mind. He probably should definitely not drive because of it.
ADDTIONAL HEADCANON.
The first time Dirk broke a bone it was because he wasn't paying attention and tripped the fuck down the stairs. He wasn't very old. It broke really badly and while he probably cried, it wasn't like hysterical or anything, and there was a lot of yelling for Bro to get his ass down there.
Child services has probably been to the Strider household a few times. When he was younger he used to have nightmares about the family being broken up.
He remembers more about the time before Bro was their dad than he lets on. He has some abandonment issues and self-worth issues that are buried so deep it would take an excavation team to get them out.
HE DOES NOT SLEEP. This is actually kind of a lie. Sometimes those spacing out episodes are him passing the fuck out because he just doesn't do it willingly.
While he loves Rainbow Dash and a few other characters totally unironically, he's definitely aware that this is a cartoon for little girls and maintains that he watches it for "ironic education" purposes. He takes down notes for some secret project he won't let anyone in on, but from what people can gather it's a reworking of the series to include deep socio-political issues and a lot of violence.

FAMILY
The relationship between roxy and rose is strained, but more-so on rose's part. roxy tries her best to be a good and supportive sister but she really isn't anything like rose so it usually ends up causing tension. Having said that she is very protective and wouldn't allow anyone to diss her sis.
As for their mom, Roxy is completely torn. Its obvious who Roxy took after and her feelings seem to be a balanced mixture of pride and adoration along with jealousy and contempt. She also isn't once for all the passive aggressive shit that mom and rose take part in so she feels kinda left out with that.
SCHOOLING
I dunno but i see them as attending either a private school or were home schooled?
FRIENDS
Jane is her BFFSIE FOREVER OK. There may be times where she nags Jane to loosen up but really it is all because she wishes to see her happy. Not only that, but she wants her approval in a way. If Jane ever complained about something Roxy had done she would think long and hard on it, perhaps more than if anyone else had mentioned it to her.
Dirk is also her best friend but in a totally different way. There was a time when she had a huuuuuge crush on the guy but after realizing that it was not going to be reciprocated it faded, well for the most part.
With Dirk he is a person where she can tell him honestly about anything that she is thinking or doing at the time without worrying over it, even if she knows that it may earn her a lecture from him. Sure he complains to her about the drinking and what not and tries to cheer her up, but at the same time she tries to get him to loosen up and see the more lighthearted side of things.
Jake is another friend of hers. She thinks he is really fun even if he can be a bit of a dork at times, but she has a real soft spot for him. Yet another former crush of hers, she backed off once she realised how her friends felt about him, not wanting to stand in their way even if she kind of resented herself for it.
As for the other kids she really doesn't know much about them other than what she has been told by their older siblings.
Another close friend of hers however would be the auto responder. Roxy can talk to him about a lot of things that she doesn't bring up with Dirk, mostly because they have to do with feelings and thoughts that she feels he would most liekly dismiss. Sure he may be an AI and not a real person but he is one of the people she likes to talk to when she feels down.
FIGHTING
okay she totally took after her mom in that aspect. Drinking really does improve your aim 8)
aside from all that she can be a bit of a goof off. Se understands the seriousness of situations but being down in the dumps about it is kinda boring so she will do her best to liven up the situation.

He has a lot more feelings than he lets on, especially about being treated like an 'it'. He takes offense to it even if he doesn't always come out and say so, because he does identify as being a 'he' even though he's a pair of glasses.
Though because he's lacking in things like hormones and all that stuff he can't control (like getting sick/hurt) there will always be things he doesn't QUITE grasp properly. He may have emotions, but not the physical reactions that go with them, so expressing and understanding them is hard. Which is why he gets so caught up in trying to analyze them.
ROBOT BODY
His body was designed by both him and Dirk, utilizing their combined genius and the power of super science, inspired by the whole asimov positronic brain concept which will give his emotions room to grow. It is a super computer funded by the AR Virtual Fingered Discount™.
Unlike Sawtooth and Squarewave, AR's body doesn't have any discernible facial features, save for the trademark Strider pointy anime shades, and he is perfectly 0kay with it. The beautiful irony is, he is the only Strider without a face and yet he's the one that would express the most emotion were he able.
He is his own computer, phone, mp3 player, and sylladex [insert pulling shit out your ass jokes here]. He has pressure and temperature sensors but he can't actually feel anything physically.
DIRK
Dirk is his brodadcreator and the initial basis of his existence. At only thirteen years old, Dirk programed AR using a scan of his own brain as a guide, but his code hasn't been touched since. I
In some ways, they've developed similarly in the past three years, but in other's they're completely different do to the environment they each developed in. Dirk has hormones and physical reactions to his emotions while AR never did, so the way they look at things from different angles to draw conclusions.
AR inherited a lot of emotional shenanigans from Dirk that he sometimes gets lost in, especially as his own emotions develop and grow stronger. He tries to be analytical about them but since emotions are hardly rational it doesn't always work out.
Even though they bicker like an old married couple, AR trusts Dirk over everybody and loves him as much as a bro is able to love a bro. They're the epicest of bros, but he owes Dirk his very existence and tries in his own ways to repay him for that. Case in point, his not so subtle hints in Jake's direction about Dirk's feels disguised as vulgar innuendo. He comes off as a crass asshole a lot of the time but he really does have Dirk's happiness and best interests at heart.
DAVE & BRO
They are probably the reason he doesn't turn the way AI in bad scifi movies go, trying to take over the world for the betterment of mankind or some other bullshit reason. He wasn't developed in a lab with some stuffy scientists constantly experimenting on him, he 'grew up' in a household of kickass bros. While he might have some sort of smug sense of superiority due to his ridiculous intelligence and computational skills, he's always been treated as a member of the family, included when he could be included despite being glasses.
Granted it is the most bizarre family atmosphere that ever existed, but there's no denying the loyalty Striders have for each other, despite all the puppets and swords flying every which way.
JAKE
Jake is one of those emotional shenanigans that he inherited from Dirk. His own emotions get mixed up with Dirk's, but he's not into Jake the same way Dirk is. The attachment is still there regardless, which makes Jake's reluctance to accept him as an actual sentient, feelings having being hurt more than it does coming from anyone else.
Jake has been pretty belligerent about the idea in the past, even insulting and cruel, but he still feels like he needs to prove himself.
ROXY
Besides Dirk, he trusts Roxy the most. Besides pouring over code and all the flirtlarping, he can have long, serious conversations with her without resorting to insults or hiding behind over exaggerations. He's told her things in confidence that Dirk doesn't even know.
LIL SEB, SAWTOOTH & SQUAREWAVE
Even as glasses, he's really protective over Sawtooth and Squarewave. They're his robros, and he looks out for them and their potential for becoming more then what they are.
LIL CAL-
Cal is the shit. There's not much else to say on the matter.
RANDOM FACTS-
•AR is ironically a member of the Church of the SubGenius and will occasionally make references.
•Dad Crockerbert will always be referred to as Bob. Always.
•It's really hard to watch anything scifi with him, because he'll deconstruct everything and point out every moment where 'science doesn't work that way'.

Edits for missnamings
While it is true that Terezi is marked pretty high on the BAMF scale for not having a Lusus to physically take care of her, this does cause a bit of an issue in her personality. Her only communication from dragon mom is telepathically one way, so she had to teach herself a lot, as well as cope with any feelings she may have by just shutting them in because she can't really share feels with her Lusus...yet. And being a shut in she wasn't really the type to share a lot of her feelings with friends, when she finally got some. In way you could say she was lonely.
From that self learning, you could say she became book smart. While browsing things she came upon legislacerators, and this concept of "justice". The one that impressed her the most were the tales of Redglare, her ancestor. She looked up to this long gone troll, and built up her concept of ruthless vengeance and ORCHESTRATING THE DEMISE OF THE WICKED, thus making her want to become a legislacerator herself.
All that lead to Terezi impressive manipulation abilities. Since she didn't show emotions, she also really didn't get attached. Being unattached she was also a bit more judgmental of other trolls' wrong doings.
During her hyper judgemental phase she got acquainted to Vriska, who had her own lusus problems. Terezi suggested tossing "unjust" trolls to Spidermom and since that went amazingly well (aside from the whole Vriska just throwing ANY troll down there) Vriska became one of Terezi's first "lasting friend". This didn't help Terezi cut back on her ruthless tendencies, and they picked up the name Scourge Sisters for double teaming even before they got into FLARP. After the Tavros incident* though, and learning Vriska just killed any what troll she wanted for Spidermom, she sort of grew distant and they became more like catty rivals than any form of friend- not quite black for her but pretty spiteful.
Terezi got to know Sollux mostly because she is not the most tech saavy and she heard he was. After getting a bit under his skin about husktop issues and other tech stuff, she eventually got a bit more attached to him. She actually found his bipolar nature sort of interesting, and maybe had an experiment or two trying to act as an Auspistice between him and himself, but that quickly stopped when asked. She respects Sollux even if they don't talk that much, but if asked for a favor she'd quickly agree to help him.
Role Playing and Friends
Terezi loves the hell out of Role Playing. Online, Live Action, Pretendy Fun Times, she really got into it. It's actually thanks to it that she knows most of her friends. In fact her friends are sort of friends by association that she just happened to get a bit more attached to. When she started Role Playing she starting showing a bit more of her emotions, becoming less of a shut in, but still had that violent JUSTICE streak going. Although to be fair the JUSTICE streak never went away. Once she got into RP she became more the sort to try and convert people than the other way around.
She doesn't really FLARP anymore after the incident with Tavros, but if asked she might be a Clouder for someone, although luckily nobody has since anytime Terezi is a Clouder she gives out what she likes to call "Tough but Fair challenges". Which...are usually just tough since they are always a few levels too many for anyone to take on. The only way it's "Fair" some have said is that what she throws at you won't immediately kill you.
Through FLARP she met Gamzee, Eridan, Aradia, and Tavros.
Gamzee she got sort of attached to, but his aloof stoner nature kind of annoyed her in game. Never enough to stop being in contact with him though. Gamzee was harmless and adorable to her, even if he was an indigo blood. He was like a really dumb puppy- he didn't know any better and she just couldn't stay mad at him. She honestly was always confused whenever a session went by where he won though. Even after Gamzee stopped FLARPing she chatted with him now and again, not particularly close.
Eridan? Eridan she always thought was a cocky little tool, and kind of a massive dick. She always hated having to play against him because his smack talking felt like it always wavered out of character to her. She didn't have any sort of attachment to him, and it's only through dumb luck (she tells herself, because she hates accepting the fact he was actually good) that he never got thrown into Spidermom's gullet. Terezi sort of "met" Feferi through Eridan, but she didn't really kick it off with her.
Aradia, she actually met through a combination of Sollux and FLARPing. They're on pretty good terms during the FLARP phase, and she always saw Aradia as the sort of "girl fiend" she could chat with. When the Tavros incident happened though her respect sort of wavered when she didn't stand beside her against Vriska. However, she does understand Aradia wasn't as uber justice-seeking like Terezi. She isn't as distant with Aradia as she is in canon because...Aradia isn't dead, but she doesn't talk with her as much as she'd like to anymore.
Tavros, like Gamzee, also is sort of got that adorable harmless puppy vibe to her. She was on good terms with him, and always sort of ragged on Vriska for picking on him. That being the case, of course when Tavros was injured Terezi jumped down Vriska's throat about it. How could she do that to the poor guy, that was beyond the bullying antics Vriska had showed before and Terezi couldn't accept it. She still keeps in contact with Tavros, gives the occasional ribbing, but she never means anything bad by it.
Nepeta is the closest thing Terezi has to a best friend that isn't a Moirail. They cut up, chat, RP, all sorts of fun. Their relationship from canon hasn't changed much. Among the trolls she's friends with she opens up probably the most with Nepeta. Although she is sort of skeeved out by Equius, who she met through a combination of Nepeta and Vriska. Equius is the reason Terezi isn't really fond of nobles, her teal blood being a bit too green to get up in a rung where Equius stops being a dick in her eyes.
Kanaya she met through Vriska, but she doesn't really chat much with her. All she really has to say about Kanaya is that she's pretty cool...she guesses? They've interacted about as much as she has with Feferi and Equius, but unlike those two she thinks she could get along if they spoke more.
Karkat- TBC
Being Blind and Personality
Not much has changed from canon. She still has adapted with the help of Dragonmom, although she is more keen to not bring it up as often. After getting talked down a bit about busting Vriska's arm she sees it as Karma in a way, thus making her dislike for Vriska even LESS based on that. Actually in some ways she is thankful for it since it allowed her to get close with Dragonmom, and even work out a way to respond back to her telepathy, since learning to see through smell and taste would take asking a question or two or three or eight.
She isn't one to tease with this surprisingly, however if the occasion presents itself, in a "you walked right into that" way she will use the "Blind Girl" taunt, or lick someone.
Being blind also didn't help her chill about JUSTICE, although she has become a bit less hair trigger about calling someone "criminal scum". She was humbled in a way, although it's hard to tell HOW exactly from the way she carries herself.
Terezi, having being a master manipulator and teaser, often times is a Troll among trolls. She is flirty but yanks back the bait before its taken. She is picky and takes things apart just to get people's goats. Honestly, if the trolls were able to interact with the Humans right off, Terezi would be the reason they just thought they were just internet trolls and not aliens.
*The Tavros Incident
During the tail end of her interest in FLARP, Vriska was, to be expected, being kind of a bitch and did as she did, forcing Tavros off that cliff. Only it was less of a force and more of an actual accident. Not that Terezi bought that when she and Aradia went to confront Vriska about it. Aradia might have believed her, Terezi wasn't so kind being the hyper judgmental and vindictive troll that she was. Eventually she orchestrated a way to cripple Vriska in turn, injuring her arm severely. However Vriska flew off the handle and while "over-reacting" pulled that double-reach-around-mind control to blind Terezi. Terezi decided FLARP was not her forte at that point, and became a bit reclusive again while she learned how to deal with being blind.

Here is a general headcanon post, though it has been a while since I have updated. Still, if you are curious, everything there pretty much still applies. If you'd ever like to plot something with me feel free to add me on plurk
Upbringing:
From the moment she picked her up, Pounce de Leon, Nepeta's lusus, took her straight into the wilderness. Since she did not grow up in society, this means that Nepeta grew up without the influences of said society. She was never taught about never showing weakness, she was never taught about the importance of culling said weak trolls, she never felt the need to display a strong front or that sentimental emotions were somehow bad. The caste system was never pounded into her head, she probably didn't even know about the hemospectrum period until later in life, or hell. She probably did not even about the existence of other trolls.
Her lusus, a playful, sweet and well meaning cat with two mouths either deliberately kept her away from all that, or never really saw the need to take her outside of her forest. She taught Nepeta how to hunt, forage, and all the essentials for survival making her a strange combination of sweet and feral, playful and dangerous. It wasn't until she was a bit older, roughly five or so in human years, that Nepeta herself became curious and began to wander off. Her traveling eventually brought her to a certain tree hive.
Terezi was the first troll that she met, and the first friend that she made. Since then, she has remained Nepeta's best friend and someone she feels very close and comfortable with. Terezi was Nepeta's first gateway into the world and after learning about some basic tenants of their race she became curious to learn more and more. Thus she set out on her travels, all the while looking for the legendary Fountain of Cute. Along the way she met other trolls, most notably Equius with whom she seemed to grow unusually fond of. She would continue to visit him regularly and she gained most of her schooling from him, as well as her tablet which allowed her to keep in contact with everyone that she had met.
At some point, early in her life she came across a cave not to far from her own full of strange writing. It was very difficult for hr to understand, since at this point she was not a particularly good reader, and it was written in a rather archaic vocabulary but it spoke of peace, equality, and love, and how these were all possible for trolls. Nepeta, was unfortunately not able to read the entirety of these cave writings since there was a cave in, but everything that she did stuck with her which also played a large role in shaping her into the person that she is.
